Ian Persaud (opens in a new tab) studied chemical neuroscience, then business, then health policy. Then he looked at it all and saw that we aren't using technology the right way in healthcare, and in many other fields.
Ian is venturing to bring his perspective to building technology solutions and products. He holds a PMP and runs a tight ship, with 7 years of experience running multi-million dollar projects.
His creative and consumption balance is tipped way toward creation. After a decade of writing, recording, mixing and other audio work, he has curated the skills, perspective and lexicon to coach the best out of clients, and to make 1+1=11 with collaborators.

Solving the data problem in the dietary supplement scientific literature. Vetting dietary supplements is hard. The industry is lightly regulated, so consumers and practitioners must take extra care to understand how these compounds affect the body.
Qaytona pulls the empirical literature together with content curated by industry professionals, closing the data-fragmentation and access gap for clinicians, practitioners, trainers, nutritionists, dietitians, athletes and loved ones. Anyone who cares about scientific rigor in what they take or recommend.

Ian supported mixing and mastering. I attended several of their shows and learned they had recorded an album that, two years on, still hadn't been mixed. It wasn't moving. I had to get on that: the world needed this project, and they needed their backlog cleared so they could focus on new music.
So I mixed and mastered it to their liking, and it's available to stream now.
My Room is a Mess

This project was written and recorded in a one-room cabin in New Paltz, New York, in September 2024, in solitude. It was meant to capture raw expression: delicacy as well as force, love and betrayal.
I especially love the vocal layering in “Stranded.” The guitar in “Long Gone,” along with the storytelling, is inspired. There's personal meaning behind this project.
Aphercotropism
3-song EP · 2023
Aphercotropism is a retired term biologists once used to describe how an organism handles obstacles. A tree planted in the sidewalk, for example, might grow its roots in a detailed pattern along the cracks in the walkway, or climb in and around fallen trunks to reach the sky again. That behavior is aphercotropism.
The concept reflects on the human experience, Ian's especially. “Will You Be There” was a well-loved track, and the first collaboration between Ian and Blasè.
